I'm really bad at keeping up with this blog...

So I am FINALLY posting an update. Seems I just need to be in the right mood to write something on here. I have started several times but never got past the first two lines...but this time I will be successful!!

Matt's School

Matt has been very busy with school and homework. He has found that some classes are more interesting than others but is overall enjoying the experience. Matt's class consist of about 48 people and they are currently broken up into groups of 6 for the summer semester (which will soon be over) which they do group projects and work on class assignments together. Matt's group is great and everyone is super nice and I have enjoyed getting to know them.

My work

I am still doing some orientation in the ER, but will be on my own for the most of next month. There are about 9 different areas in the ER and I have now completed orientation for 4 of them. This is definately the biggest ER I have worked in yet. I continue to learn new things everyday and that is part of what I love about this job.

Fun Stuff

We have continued to get out and explore the city but we still have tons to see! We did make a trip to Albany for our Anniversarry to see the comedian Kathy Griffin. (this was Matt's gift to me) I have gotten to know several girls who have husbands or fiances in Matt's class and we try to meet up and do something as often as possible...especially when we know the boys will have lots of homework. So far the best time that we have had here was when my family came to visit. Julie, Mike, Lena, Mom, and Dad all came to visit for a week!! Seeing that our apartment is tiny, they had to stay in a hotel....but Lena stayed with us :)

The Weather

It seems that everyone we talk to back home wants to know about the weather...so here it is.... It has been hot but not as humid as it is in Alabama. When it rains it seems to pour at some point and when it pours the wind seems to always pick up and there is NO umbrella that can handle the bad wind...so you end up getting wet too....
