Getting Ready For Christmas

As you can see, Matt has gotten his Christmas Tree! Both he and Will have gotten ornaments, so now the little tree has come to life! Before they know it, there won't be any green left showing once the tree gets all its ornaments! (In case you can't see in the picture, the tree has found a home on top of their fridge.) There is also a regular size tree in Matt's office building. So even though they can't have a White Christmas, they will at least have a Merry Christmas! (doubt that I will have a White Christmas either...)

Matt has gotten to fly twice this week. He said the flights were boring, but hey, that means nobody was being attacked... Something that Matt has and will continue to work on is the monthly Battalion newsletter. He isn't the one writing it, but he gets all the info and puts it together on the computer. Pat, Donna, and I all have the newsletters...so if you would like to see them just let us know and we can pass them along.

Everyone Have A Wonderful Thanksgiving?

I believe that this was the longest Thanksgiving celebration I have ever had!! My celebrating began on Wednesday evening with the arrival of my friend Angie (and her doggie Ben). We went to Pat and Jerry's to have Thanksgiving meal a day early. Everything was delicious and the table was beautifully set with China and Crystal. This was a wonderful night. There were only two things missing....Matt, and Will (Angie's husband).

Thursday began a new day of celebration. A meal at 2pm at Valerie's Mom's. Once again the food was outstanding and table beautifully set. A great time with friends I don't get to see very often. Ben was also invited to attend...but he didn't get any food...poor Ben. He did have a blast playing with Valerie's puppy. We got tired just watching them. Once the plates were cleared, it was off I went to another meal.

This meal began at 4pm at Frances' Mom's. For the third time this week, the food was delicious and the table was beautifully set. Light music playing in the background, and all of us laughing at the silly stories told between Frances and her Sister. Yet another wonderful time with friends I don't get to see very often.

To finish off the night, Valerie and her husband Sam, and I went to the movies. I must recommend SAW II to all those who have an interset in this type of movie. After the movie was over, we returned to my apartment just to hang out for a while. Then off to bed I went.

Yet, Thanksgiving has not yet ended.... The bigest treat of it all was the phone call that woke me up this morning....there is nothing better than waking up to the voice of the man you love....

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for so many things..... My wonderful husband; all of my new family that have taken me into their arms instantly the day Matt and I were married; the friendships that I have; for all my family who have loved me for the past 25 years and who always will.... the list could go on and on....

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday...Matt sends his love to you all...

Matt is Spoiling Me!!

I talked to Matt tonight!!! This was the 3rd phone call I have gotten this week!! I told him he was spoiling me...but of course, I don't mind. It was 2am for Matt and he was on his way to go fly. He had a few extra minutes so he stopped to call. His latest obsession during his time off is a new computer game. He has been playing it for a few hours each night this week. I'm just glad that he has something he enjoys to do when he isn't working, cause there really isn't anything "to do" over there. Good thing he is a computer/video game nerd, or he would be bored. Overall Matt is doing great!

Matt's Office

As you can see, the setup isn't bad at all. Matt has even said that this chair is better than the one he has at Campbell!

Guess Who I Talked To?.....

Got a call from Matt yesterday morning as I was getting into bed after work, and earlier in the week too. He is doing well. Matt had gotten to fly earlier in the week and told me a little about the flight. He and Will have been watching episodes of The Amazing Race and have decided they want to apply for the show. I told him that was great, but if they got on, Angie (Will's wife) and I would have to follow them around the world as they went. The weather has gotten cooler for Matt. Its in the 80's during the day and has dropped to the 50's during the night. They have actually been using the heater sometimes at night. Nothing much new going on for him.

About Me

My normal scedule for three days a week is work, sleep, work, sleep... you get the picture... Other days I just do whatever comes up. My big project for now is our Wedding Scrapbook. I'm going to work on getting it done prior to Matt's mid-tour so I'll have it for him to see when he comes home. This actually means that I have to have it done before Lena is born, cause I know once that baby girl gets here, I'll forget about the scrapbook. Today I'm traveling with mom and dad to go visit Julie and Mike for the weekend. Julie is doing great! Lena continues to grow and is moving around more and more! Can't wait to see Julie's belly!
