Job Lined Up In Georgia

I am very excited to say that I have gotten my Georgia Nursing License and have accepted an ER position that I will start in July after we get moved!!! I am very happy that I will be getting back to the ER, floor nursing just isn't my thing.... I will be working at a hospital that is about 10 miles from where we will live, and it is a part time 11am-11pm shift.

Thoughts for the future...

I have been thinking lately about what I want to do in my nursing career. I have played around with the idea of going back to school and getting into administrative nursing....but I really don't want to go back to school right now. I have also thought about just continuing as long as I am happy in my work. Another thought that crossed my mind the other day was to do MedFlight. I will need much more time in the ER before I am ready for that journey. Guess I will just wait and see what opportunities come my way.

Matt

It has been 35 days since Matt's surgery, but we still have a ways to go.... I did have a nice 10 days off work to be home with Matt, so that is a plus! He doesn't really have much pain anymore but rather weird feelings, usually tingling and burning. There is still a bit of swelling in his foot so Matt continues to keep his leg elevated (at least when he isn't sitting up to play video games). I have been telling Matt that I am able to see that the incision has closed completely and is healing well, but he was still worried that it wasn't. Finally last night some of the scab came off and Matt was able to see first hand that yes the incision was healed. So now he won't worry as much that "it might just pop open."
